  • Integrate QA/QC, practice standards, and DLR Group protocols, while collaborating with Project Managers on the coordination of project teams.
  • Assist with maintaining project schedule and coordination of project deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability in conceptual design, program development and applying space planning expertise.
  • Possess a holistic design acumen that addresses 3D space; from functionality, alignment with programmatic needs, and how materials, volumes, and the performance of the space all align.
  • Design, document, and detail ideas that are constructible.
  • Select appropriate application of products, materials, and FF&E that align with DLR Group’s sustainable commitments to the built environment and K-12 best practice.
  • Create graphic presentations to clearly communicate design intent and storytelling.
  • Attend site walks and/or construction administration meetings regularly and can articulate the value and critical aspects of coordination with our integrated practice.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to continue to grow, learn, and mentor.
  • Have strong client, project management, and time management skills.
  • Prepare and develop drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other documents relating to the design.
  • Work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
  • Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
