Requirements

  • PhD (or equivalent experience) in an environmental chemistry or eco-toxicology related discipline.
  • Thesis must be related to ecotoxicology / environmental toxicology or the assessment of the effects of chemical in the environment.
  • Strong knowledge / interest in the effects of chemical compounds in the environment.
  • Innovative self-starters.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • To provide environmental risk assessment expertise to help assess the impacts of chemicals on the environment in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • To prepare assessment reports and dossiers for regulatory authorities.
  • To undertake data analyses and interpretations, literature review and searches for individual projects.
  • Liaising and negotiating with commercial clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensuring all standards are met and preparations, submissions and follow ups are carried out in a timely manner, to meet regulatory deadlines when applicable.
  • Provide advice and support to the rest of the project team for environmental aspects of projects.
