Requirements

  • Microsoft (Mainly Servers) – Basic understanding of Microsoft Server (Prem) 2012 to present.
  • Virtualisation technologies – Familiarity with VMWare, basic knowledge of vSphere v7 onwards.
  • Back-up and DR – Basic understanding of VEEAM Back-up – knowledge of backup and replication processes.
  • Systems Management – Basic understanding of patch management, monitoring and build processes.

Responsibilities

  • System monitoring and Maintenance – Assist in ensuring the proper operation of systems and apply preventative maintenance as directed.
  • Incident Management – Participate in 2nd/3rd level technical escalation within our IT support structure.
  • Infrastructure management – Contribute to the management and maintenance of our IT Infrastructure.
  • Security Support – Collaborate with the Cyber Security Team to support the security of systems, networks, and data.
  • Back-up and Recovery Assistance – Support backup procedures, assist in testing backups and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Patch Management Support – Assist with ensuring systems are kept up to date and secure through patch management.
  • Capacity Planning Assistance – Aid in monitoring system usage and trends, providing input for infrastructure scaling.
  • Documentation Support – Contribute to the maintenance of documentation in line with existing guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Communication – Work with various teams within the airport to address IT needs.
  • Automation Support – Assist in the management and implementation of tools and scripts for task efficiency.
  • Compliance and Auditing Support – Collaborate with the Cyber Security Team to ensure compliance with Aviation regulations.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing – Engage in training activities and contribute to knowledge sharing within the IT Team.
