Requirements

  • A 2:1 or above in English, Journalism or Marketing degree or equivalent experience
  • Content writing experience – this could be professional, personal (e.g. blogging) or voluntary
  • Natural creativity with the ability to bring new ideas and enhance existing ones
  • Confident writing skills for both marketing and editorial copy
  • Acute attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn, and will be keen to collaborate and build strong relationships with the marketing and wider teams at PKF Smith Cooper
  • A high level of initiative and the confidence to ask for support when required
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise work to tight deadlines
  • A goal oriented mindset whilst continually thinking outside the box
  • Excellent communication
  • Experience using GA4 or other reporting tools is desirable
  • Understanding of, and experience implementing, SEO best practices is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Researching industry-related topics and identify client needs and gaps to suggest ideas for content, whilst maintaining our content plan
  • Liaising with the wider team and other stakeholders to create content including blog posts, publications, press releases, advertising materials, web pages and awards submissions
  • Writing clear marketing copy to promote our services and position PKF Smith Cooper as industry experts
  • Proofread and edit documents
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, imagery and tone)
  • Support the wider marketing team
  • Visit our other offices (namely Derby and Birmingham) and attend events when necessary
  • Translating technical information into commercial writing that is easily understandable
