Responsibilities

  • To support the Cook on day-to-day basis and in the absence of the Cook be responsible for the day to day management of the catering services.
  • Maintain a high standard of practice and hygiene in accordance with current quality standards, in all aspects of food preparation, which will contribute to the quality of care of each student.
  • Contribute to the provision of an effective and smooth catering service through preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages, as directed and in line with established procedures/guidance.
  • Assisting the School Cook in food preparation and cooking activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling food ingredients, operate a range of kitchen equipment, following training. and be able to suggest new ideas towards the design and planning of seasonal menus in line with the School Food Plan.
