Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision, conducts in-process and finished product testing to determine adherence to established specifications of quality and purity.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for a variety of purposes, such as production, pollution control, quality control, and minor research.
  • Test and analyze products such as flour to determine if the product meets plant specifications prior to release.
  • Release in-spec vessels and report out-of-spec vessels.
  • Test and analyze production samples and report uncharacteristic results.
  • Document results of tests, readings, etc. in logbooks and in TLC (Total Lab Client).
  • Complete certificates of analysis.
  • Prepare chemical solutions for use in the lab.
  • Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment and related field instrumentation.
  • Maintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA, and employer standards and guidelines.
  • Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
