  • Our school is a very successful special school & college providing for children and young people between the ages of 3 to 19 with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties.
  • Our ideal candidate will work well as part of a team, be patient, tolerant, understanding and most importantly enjoy working with children. This is a School for children with special needs and some children display challenging behaviour. A full training programme will be provided and continuous development is key to our success.
  • Support literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills development.
  • Attend to personal care needs, following each student's Care Plan.
  • Promote positive student behavior and keep students on task.
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Monitor and record student responses and achievements.
  • Assist in the implementation of educational and care programs.
  • Select and maintain appropriate resources and specialist equipment.
  • Liaise with staff and other professionals, providing necessary student information.
  • Supervise students during breaks and educational visits, facilitating games and activities.
  • Physically assist students during activities, such as PE.
  • Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
