What are the educational requirements for this position?
A Bachelor's degree with 1 year of leave of absence processing or Human Resources experience is required, or a High School diploma with 3 years of leave of absence processing or Human Resources experience.
Is experience in Absence Management required?
Yes, a minimum of 1 year of Absence processing experience is required for this position.
What software skills are needed for the Leave Specialist role?
Candidates should be able to use and navigate web-based software programs, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Are bilingual candidates preferred for this role?
Yes, the department is looking for bilingual Spanish professionals to support employees who may require assistance in Spanish.
What certifications or clearances are required for this position?
Candidates must have Act 34 clearances.
What type of leave policies will the Leave Specialist be managing?
The Leave Specialist will manage various leave policies including FMLA, Military Leave, Jury Duty Leave, Bereavement Leave, and company-specific leaves.

Yes, the current budget for this position is $23.24 - $25 per hour.
