What is the duration of the training contract at Kennedys?
The training contract at Kennedys is two years in length.
How many seats will I undertake during the training contract?
You will undertake four six-month seats in specialist areas during the training contract.
What specialist areas can I choose from for my seats?
You can choose from specialist areas such as Insurance and Reinsurance, Liability Defence, and Commercial.
Will I have client contact during my training?
Yes, you will gain early responsibility and client contact, which will help develop you into a competent and confident solicitor.
Is there any opportunity for secondments during the training contract?
Yes, you may have the opportunity to go on an international or client secondment during your training contract.
What qualifications do I need before starting the training contract?
Before starting the training contract, all future trainees must undertake the LLM SQE1&2 course and SQE exams. Non-law graduates will need to complete a law conversion course prior to this. Candidates who have completed the LPC are also welcome to apply.
When is the closing date for applications for the 2025 training contract?
The closing date for applications is 29 November 2024.
