Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust comprises of Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital Our hospitals make us one of the largest employers in the region, employing more than 12,000 people. It also has a successful Volunteers scheme, with more than 450 volunteers providing support in a variety of roles. We deliver a range of services including general hospital services, specialist services, cancer services, dental services and community services. We are the main provider of general hospital services to a Liverpool population of 403,400 and neighbouring catchments, covering a total population of around 700,000 people. In addition, we also deliver a range of specialist services to a regional population of over two million. We are the single receiving site for adult major trauma patients in Cheshire and Merseyside and work in partnership with neurological specialists at the Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust and other trauma units across the region as part of the Major Trauma Collaborative.
