Responsibilities

  • Your Mission
  • As Legal Counsel, you will be part of King’s global and Activision Blizzard EMEA legal team, working in a challenging and collaborative environment where your ideas will be every bit as valued as your legal expertise. This is a new legal role supporting the King business both from a product and privacy point of view. It incorporates the flexibility to work on a wide range of consumer, privacy and commercial issues across key parts of our business.
  • Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Product:
  • Consumer & regulatory - advising our business and game teams on consumer and regulatory issues, including advertising, gaming, consumer protection and pricing, e-commerce and data protection with specific focus on King games
  • Marketing - advising our marketing teams on consumer-facing brand and game marketing campaigns, from concept to execution
  • Commercial contract drafting and negotiation across the EMEA business
  • Generalist intellectual property advice, including asset clearance and release in relation to new game releases and/or new content & features
  • Privacy:
  • Advising the King product and game teams on privacy matters to ensure compliance and anticipate any new regulatory compliance impacting King products and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on a variety of products and services across King business including, without limitation, mobile, shared and central technology, marketing and advertising teams to ensure privacy compliance.
  • Apply a risk-based approach to privacy advice, reviews and guidance addressed to the business
  • Conduct and/or review DPIAs on high profile data processing activities
  • Prepare and perform privacy and data protection training, when needed
  • Foster and champion a privacy culture across the organization
  • Being an key member of the ABK global legal privacy team
  • General:
  • Keeps abreast of changes in laws, regulations and guidelines across EMEA region that may impact the design, development and marketing of our products and services.
  • Be an escalation point for King Player Support when responding to customers queries for both privacy and product
