What is the main responsibility of the Legal Counsel (Privacy & Product)?
The main responsibility is to support the King business from both a product and privacy perspective, advising on consumer and regulatory issues, privacy matters, commercial contracts, and fostering a culture of privacy compliance across the organization.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates should be qualified with ideally 2-4 years PQE, preferably in a well-respected law firm in the UK or another EU jurisdiction, and have experience in privacy law, as well as exposure to the gaming, tech, media, or e-commerce industries.
Is a specific accreditation preferred for this role?
Yes, a CIPP/E accreditation or similar data protection practitioner qualifications is preferred.
