Responsibilities

  • Provide positive first impression to visitors of the firm; greet clients and visitors, offer tea/coffee/water
  • Answering and forwarding incoming calls
  • Assist with set up and clean up for meetings and in-house professional development seminars
  • Create internal bookings for boardrooms
  • File-related data entry
  • Processing lawyer and office-related expenses
  • Assist with social events as needed (help with planning, preparation, clean up, etc.)
  • Sending out paper mail (correspondence, copying for file, labels, etc.) and couriers
  • Providing support to Legal Assistants and/or Law Clerks and/or Lawyers as required
  • Drafting basic emails to clients and attaching necessary materials for review
  • Cover letters enclosing accounts
  • Assembling binders and Filing
  • Tracking and managing cheques
  • Sending out cheques for payment and doing bank runs
  • File openings and closing
  • Housekeeping (running the dishwasher, coffee machine, stocking the snack bar)
