Responsibilities

  • Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions. Responsible for the research of suitable substitutes, replacement or repair capability of equipment deemed obsolete. Tracking and prioritizing open purchase orders and purchase requests.
  • Information will need to be gathered from a variety of departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, Programs, Marketing, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and/or Contracts
  • Provide management with analyzation of stock, predicted requirements, and consumption data
  • Answers questions from Program Managers, Logistics Managers or staff, Production Planners, Buyers, vendors regarding equipment and requirements.
  • Conduct or attend staff, planning, production and program meetings and relay updated relevant information to the appropriate parties
  • Coordinate with engineering team to follow up on logistics requests for engineering assistance.
  • Set up review points for all assignments to keep abreast of job progress and to perform timely and efficient expediting functions, such as shortage reports, expedite reports, and receiving reports.
  • Assist purchasing team with sourcing, to include preferred vendors and supply information to allow equipment to be entered in the inventory systems
