Responsibilities

  • Assess Simulation Demand: Evaluate the demand for simulation from plant logistics teams. Gather requirements, assess priorities, and ensure that the most critical needs are addressed
  • Coordinate with Simulation Team: Work closely with the central discrete event simulation team to prioritise and coordinate simulation work. Ensure alignment and integration of simulation models with overall logistics strategies
  • Analyse Demand Patterns: Evaluate demand patterns and optimise resource allocation to enhance logistics operations. Develop strategies to balance supply and demand, minimise bottlenecks, and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams, including logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain, to integrate simulation models into existing processes. Ensure that simulation insights are used to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Provide Training and Support: Train logistics personnel on the use of simulation tools and methodologies. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure smooth operation and adoption of new tools
