Requirements

  • BEng Tech or BTech in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Life Cycle Cost / RAMS in rail or related industry
  • Registered or Registerable as a Professional Engineer /Technologist with ECSA
  • Maintenance Documentation Specialisation /Technical Writing experience, will be an advantage
  • Incumbent may be required to travel to depots
  • Incumbent may be required to be available after hours

Responsibilities

  • Identify the performance allocation in compliancy with DFS target
  • Define maintenance plan and design of LSA elements (MTA, LCC, LORA, RCM)
  • Define spare part allocation for first provisional (LAI)
  • Validation of support solution and associated maintenance documentation or training toolkit.
  • Capitalize data in central ISR repository (ILS PDM)
  • Manage LSA activities to deliver QCD commitments in coordination with the ISR Management plan
  • Ensure technical interfaces with RS, Components, Signaling and Infra teams (RAMS Architect, mechanical, electrical & system architect, sourcing, LSA for equipment and from suppliers)
  • Ensure that DFS is correctly applied on Sub System (Component Site)
  • Ensure REX is collected and considered
  • Manage Definition of Logistic Breakdown Structure (LBS) in consistency with Design Engineering BOM definition
  • Elaborate maintenance plan
  • Elaborate LCC calculations and analyzed
  • Ensure LSA database (ILS PDM) is defined and completed correctly
  • Ensure compliancy between Spar Part consumption model and maintenance strategy
  • Validate content of the technical maintenance documentation and training toolkit
  • To ensure all Work Instructions (WI), Maintenance Instructions (MI), Maintenance and Safety Bulletins including all other associated Risk assessments necessary are produced to the relevant standard and presented for sign off in a timely manner
  • Manage the production and maintenance of the Bill of Material (BoM), and WI
  • Manage the production of the preventive & corrective & overhaul LCC
  • Assist in parts identification, creation of material reference numbers and obsolescence management.
  • Produce, update training material, and perform training externally and to the internal team
  • Continuously improve Training material and sustain Trainer qualification in order to provide Training courses at the expected service level
  • Obtain Training accreditation i.e (SETA, TETA, etc)
