Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, 3PL management, or Fulfilment Operations
  • Broad knowledge of all forms of transportation, with a main focus on Sea, Road, and Air both inbound and outbound from APAC, EMEA, and the Americas
  • Leadership experience of a globally located team is a must
  • Extensive experience of managing transportation providers and 3PL/4PL logistics models on behalf of an EMEA-wide business
  • Strong knowledge of Logistics Operations best-practices within consumer-packaged good industry or video game industry is a plus
  • Working experience utilizing ERP system (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Objects, SAP IBP)
  • Working experience utilizing and interacting with a TMS
  • Working experience of interacting with and managing 4PL Transport Management partners is required
  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience of Lean / Six Sigma is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the team managing all day to day, week to week, and month to month logistics operations activities across the Americas and EMEA, currently made up of 4x Regional Logistics Operations Managers, split out as 2x in the US and 2x in EMEA
  • Ownership of complex Logistics operational activities Globally, across operationally diverse regions, supporting and overseeing both inbound delivery of goods to production assembly and distribution facilities, and outbound to B2B and B2C customers
  • Be the escalation and strategic point of contact for regional Logistics Operations activities for both B2C and B2B internal teams and external service providers
  • Working in close conjunction with Sales Ops, Warehousing, Planning, and Security leaders to take the lead on developing, optimizing and delivering transportation plans
  • Develop and manage best-in-class Logistics Operations standards and practices, building well defined best practice standard ways of working, with a focus on process improvement and automation where feasible and effective to do so
  • The senior operational owner of the Logistics Service Provider networks, managing an array of road, sea, air, and multi-modal transport operational activities to and from global locations
  • Define and then deliver the strategic roadmap of activities that will deliver operational improvements to Safety & Risk, Quality levels, reductions in defects, and improved cost to serve.
  • Identify opportunities for network improvement - then develop roadmaps for waste removal and efficiency enhancements with a customer facing view (internal & external)
  • Escalation for Exception Management – Support the team in their interactions with Logistics Service Providers (LSP’s) to drill into Exceptions and provide rapid action planning and management, as well as working with Logistics colleagues to develop longer term roadmaps with the providers to improve delivery options
  • Working with Managed Service Providers to support transportation bookings and plans, with advanced management and planning for NPI and any high-risk activities
  • Carrier Management – touch base with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the plan is holding day by day, week by week, and month by month
  • Ensure the team is engaging in proactive carrier planning, engage on capacity and volume needs – Support in providing rapid response capability and action to pivot in reaction to any new developments or deviations from plan.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Solutions team to identify recurring challenges, pain points, administrative waste, communication needs, and improvement opportunities for the benefit of all operational areas and key stakeholders that the Logistics Operations team interact with
  • Ensure the team and our partners are able to proactively undertake Inbound tracking, carrier management, and capacity planning activities – managing from Port-to-Port in alignment with global Seihan planning and S&OP
  • Utilization of Global Logistics Systems to ensure carrier SLA achievement, process compliance, and exception tracking
  • Primary POC for Assembly Planning, Commercial Operations and Warehouse Operations
  • Track & Trace exception tracking and management, and POC for Track & Trace requests
