Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all WiFi, network, hardware and mobile device topics on board of our trains, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
  • Monitor the performance of our on-board technology to ensure smooth operations and a reliable travel experience.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects to improve network performance and connectivity, to enhance future setup of our mobile devices or our Rolling Stock or to optimize costs and similar.
  • Train and mentor engineering and operational teams on network troubleshooting and best practices to maintain operational excellence.
  • Define technical specifications for onboard technology as well as network set-up to meet FlixTrain's requirements and ensure feasible interfaces to the rolling stock, which enables reliability and scalability.
  • Define test scenarios and carry out functional tests and validations, particularly at the interface with customers and certifiers.
  • You actively participate in the design and revision process with manufacturers and sub-suppliers of such.
