  • Including but not limited to the preparation and control/issue of technical requirements specifications, scopes of work, evaluation of tender returns and contract placements for outsourced works.
  • Generation and evaluation of work packet related Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work, Contractor Competency Assessment and Work Control, Competency skill matrix maintenance and personnel development, COSHH Hazard & Risk Assessments.
  • The Maintenance, improvement and replacement of site plant and equipment through the engagement of in-house teams and third party contractors, inclusive of investment case preparations, justifications, contract placement, execution action planning and physical works execution.
  • Good background in process engineering and process optimisation with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Carrying out Risk Assessments of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Leading and/or managing process development projects.
  • Project/risk management and the ability to use associated tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in manufacturing in a high hazard environment.
  • Experience of high hazard environments; familiar with HAZOP (Hazard And Operability Study), COMAH, DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations), PUWER, SIL (Safety Integrity Levels), MSER and other regulations and standards.
  • IOSH Managing Safety / NEBOSH Certificate.
  • Experience of Contactor Management.
  • Familiarity with the Life Cycle Management (LCM) process.
