Requirements

Responsibilities

  • - Planning and handling multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks appropriately and setting deadlines.
  • - Managing complex issues, while ensuring high impact projects are on schedule, on budget and aligned with Executive Education marketing and business development strategic goals.
  • - Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of initiatives and implement proactive changes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • - Maintaining an archive of statistics and event information on which to base future decisions and budgeting.
  • - Collaborating with the Haskayne Marketing & Communications and Community Engagement & Events teams on related projects.
  • - Developing and maintaining strong relationships with team members, staff, suppliers, clients, and other target audiences on and off campus.
  • - In collaboration with the Director, Executive Education, developing and executing an annual strategic marketing and communications plan while ensuring adherence to annual marketing budget allocation and optimizing marketing spend to ensure the most optimal return on investment.
  • - Navigating many different communication channels and tools such as social media, website, and email campaigns to coordinate recruitment and business development initiatives.
  • - Taking proactive measures to constantly evolve the marketing and communication initiatives to align with industry best practice and market innovations, identifying opportunities in the business community to showcase Executive Education.
  • - Keeping current with new developments in training and executive development programs including delivery, markets, providers, and competition.
  • - Completing and presenting competitive analysis, informing the design and positioning of new programs under development.
  • - Responsible for the development, writing and active editing of Haskayne marketing materials including program brochures, advertising messaging, social media, and website content (digital and print).
  • - Acting as editor of the Executive Connection, a monthly newsletter distributed to the Executive Education database.
  • - Working in Adobe suite to create graphics and videos, editing images and updating template layouts while aligning with University of Calgary branding standards.
  • - Initiating and working in conjunction with the Haskayne MarComm team on the development and implementation of strategic internal and external marketing, communications, and event plans as well as on the production, design, printing, and delivery of marketing collateral.
  • - Liaising with the Haskayne MarComm team to ensure that lead generation activity is aligned and consistent with the Haskayne School of Business and University of Calgary key messages and brand standards.
  • - Liaising with external partners such as vendors, conference, and tradeshow promoters.
  • - Develop, coordinate, and execute tactical recruitment and business development initiatives such as information sessions, regional and national recruitment activities, meeting with industry contacts, tradeshows, and other activities.
  • - Promoting and publicly speaking about open enrolment and custom programs at internal and external events including information sessions, industry events, tradeshows, and webinars.
  • - Identifying target businesses in a variety of industries with alumni contacts, and other sources as appropriate.
  • - Identifying program ambassadors, conducting interviews, formulating quotes, and writing success stories that can be shared in a variety of mediums.
  • - Responding to candidate inquiries via web forms, emails, phone, and other means.
  • - Providing guidance to applicants regarding financial assistance opportunities, career opportunities and alumni successes and internal tracking of status.
  • - Developing and updating conversion plans and materials including e-marketing content campaigns, call campaigns, conversion presentations and other engagement initiatives.
  • - Corresponding and communicating with leads to accelerate the sales cycle and drive conversion, including follow-ups, a high-level of customer service and sales cycle tracking.
  • - Effectively leveraging CRM tool to target communications to current leads interests, industry, and functional focus to promote conversion and to capture and manage business development follow-up activities.
  • - Liaising with the graduate program recruitment team and making appropriate referrals to university services and departments to link students with the most appropriate education programs for their needs and goals.
  • - Defining, tracking, and reporting on marketing, lead generation, conversion, and qualification metrics for each program to support enrolment targets.
  • - Supporting the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) process including calculating Return on Investment (ROI) on all recruitment and business development initiatives.
  • - Preparing recruitment and registration number reports to inform key stakeholders.
  • - Measuring the effectiveness of recruitment activities through analytics and data mining and reporting including suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • - Data collection of industry trends in the professional development and learning market including buyer behaviour, monitoring competitive programs, and reporting back to management team to inform decision-making.
  • - Conducting regular market and client segmentation analysis to recommend target clients and opportunities to foster the Executive Education strategy and recruitment activity plan for each program.
  • - This includes mining data from the CRM system, learning trends survey, and participant profiles to gather further insight to create targeted marketing initiatives and buyer personas.
  • - Initiate and conduct an annual learning trends survey and develop a report and presentation summarizing the findings in conjunction with senior Executive Education team members.
