Responsibilities

  • To develop integrated seasonal go to market plans which reflect both marketing and merchant strategies to deliver store traffic and profitable sales.
  • To work cross functionally with Marketing team to ensure go to market plans are clearly communicated.
  • To actively participate in 18-month GTM planning sessions between Marketing and Merchants. Provide tactical inputs on how to best bring to life the brand & merchant's strategies within the marketing mix available to GT (mass advertising, digital ecosystem, flyer, in-store execution, etc). Gain a deep understanding of category priorities as it relates to the corporate 5-year plan, to reflect strategies/tactics within the annual and seasonal plans.
  • Produce go to market plans and cross-functional deployments which effectively distill and communicate business/merchant priorities (focused on disciplined category management) to cross functional partners, including Marketing; Digital and Store Operations to ensure we meet/exceed business objectives. Work cross functionally to ensure plans and tactics can be deployed successfully.
  • Develop recommendations based on transactional and market data to make informed recommendations on short and long term adjustments to go to market plans to positively impact business results and close gaps to plan.
  • Facilitate the marketing budget process by acting as a liaison between marketing leadership and finance to ensure marketing spend is reported accurately; the forecast is updated monthly; and we have an accurate picture of YTD spend and available dollars.
  • Develop go to market plans for strategic priorities including development of marketing channel support recommendations, plus ad-hoc support for other marketing projects as needed.
  • To leverage seasonal post mortem to inform in flight go to market plans to improve results. Should inform recommendations regarding tactics, product selection and priority areas.
