  • We are looking for an experienced education manager with a service orientated outlook able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders from senior leadership to undergraduate students.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of project work and education management including curriculum organisation and timetabling.
  • They will be able to work independently and will be skilled in leading and managing a team.

Responsibilities

  • The post holder acts as the Medical School’s liaison with NHS Placement Providers to provide advice and facilitate compliance with the contractual obligations of NHS England’s Education Contract and local Placements Agreements; and works strategically with Medical School and NHS Trust Senior Education Leadership to develop and manage projects designed to support and enhance MBBS education.
  • The post holder manages Placements Teams at two of our main NHS Trust Providers (UCLH and The Whittington Hospital) and our Primary Care Team, with responsibility for managing and coordinating placements, placement timetabling, and placement-related assessments including workplace-based and module assessments and local delivery of formative and summative clinical examination.
  • As part of the MBBS team, the post holder contributes to ensuring high quality medical student experience and high-quality clinical training aligned with the Intended Learning Outcomes in the MBBS Curriculum Map and the General Medical Council’s Outcomes for Graduates.
