Responsibilities

  • The Systems Design Engineer will work under the direction of the Lead Project Engineer and Project Manager and is responsible for developing conveyor system layouts
  • The Systems Design Engineer will develop and maintain a working knowledge of customer standards as well as equipment and application requirements and will apply these in the course of their design work and mechanical installation drawings and details
  • Apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout and design
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, or drawings
  • Research / review customer specifications to understand requirements and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with project team members including design engineers, project engineers and project managers and customers to ensure project requirements are met
  • Work with Project Engineer to establish an engineering design plan and schedule for the project
