The Mechanical Fitter position is based at the Weir Minerals Service Centre near Perth Airport.
What are the working hours for this position?
The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and Friday from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm.
What type of equipment will I be working on as a Mechanical Fitter?
You will be working on Weir brand equipment and non-OEM equipment in pumps, valves, and cyclones.
What qualifications are required for this role?
You need to have a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning, a Driver's License, and experience as a Mechanical Fitter. High-risk forklift, overhead crane, and dogging tickets are highly desirable.
Is experience with pumps, cyclones, and valves necessary?
Experience working on pumps, cyclones, valves, and related equipment is desirable but not strictly required.
