What qualifications are required for the Medical Photographer position?
A degree in Medical Photography or a degree in Photography along with relevant photographic experience is required. Candidates should also preferably be AHCS registered/eligible or qualified to a registerable level.
Is training provided for candidates who do not have prior experience?
Yes, we welcome candidates who are willing to undertake training.
Where will the Medical Photographer be working?
The Medical Photographer will work cross site between Guy’s Hospital and St. Thomas’ Hospital and cover several busy clinics.
What type of photographic services will the Medical Photographer provide?
The role includes photography of clinical, dental and surgical conditions, as well as documentation for non-accidental injuries related to case reports and medical evidence.
What software proficiency is expected for this role?
The successful candidate should have good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Creative Cloud, along with a thorough understanding of image management and digital technology.
What interpersonal skills are important for this position?
Candidates must possess clear communication skills and good interpersonal relationship skills to work effectively with a small professional team.
How should the candidate manage their workload?
The candidate should be able to prioritize their workload efficiently and manage their own photographic workflow, including task allocation and target setting.
