Responsibilities

  • - To Install, maintain, service and repair a full range of Estates Structural, fabric components and elements to the Organisations Hospitals and other relevant properties.
  • - Plan and complete installation improvement works across the site, including clinical areas following National, Local and Trust guidance and policies.
  • - Liaise with Ward Managers, nursing staff and patients when working on wards, providing a flexible and safe service, communicating in a clear manner explaining the process of the work to be undertaken.
  • - To work on all Trust properties, clinics and wards which may contain a wide range of patients who are in need of specialist care and require their wellbeing and dignity to be respected.
  • - Responsible for the installation and regular maintenance of Fire doors ensuring that the integrity of the door structure is not compromised, reporting faults immediately to relevant person.
  • - Maintenance and repair of doors, windows (sashed, curved head) and ironmongery, with specialist knowledge of different locks (keypad locks, drug locks, magnetic locks, mortise and Yale lock door closers and patent door and window systems).
  • - Repair and make adjustments when required to various types of Trust furniture using guidance from manufacturers for example patient adjustable chairs, specialist handrails and office desks.
