Responsibilities

  • The National Accounts VP Client Management is responsible for driving retention and growth across all products within an assigned geography and book of business. Partner with account team on strategic account development and strategy execution. Responsible to lead the RFP process for retention and growth opportunities. Collaborate with the Market Heads, Team Leaders, Sales Vice Presidents and Consulting Firm Relations to implement sales/relationship best practices within and across the West region which embody the NA brand promise and support business objectives.
  • Develops specific, coordinated plans to retain and grow customers in assigned BOB. Uses deep customer insights to assess need and develop tailored sales strategies; develops higher level relationships up to and including C Suite relationships and B2B opportunities to drive sales and retention; cultivates long term key stakeholder relationships and positions Aetna as optimal solution before and when opportunity develops.
  • Partners with Market Leader and Sales VPs to be market facing with consultants and groups in the region. Supports the development of Aetna’s NA Value proposition and develops, integrates, and implements comprehensive sales and marketing plans to contribute to the company’s overall business objectives for sales and retention.
  • Shares best practices with the team.
  • Seen as thought leader in the market.
  • Acts as mentor for less tenured account team members.
  • Helps plan and lead regional client forums.
  • Performs other duties as required.
