Do we support remote work?
Due to the nature of the role, it is not always possible to work from home. Candidates should be willing to travel to our Leatherhead office (Surrey) 3-4 days per week.

What kind of projects will I be working on?
You will be working on a cutting-edge 5G/SatComs project that involves integrating a 5G private network and SatComs links supplied by major operators.
Is SC clearance required for this position?
Yes, all candidates must be eligible to undergo SC clearance if required for any projects.
What specific networking skills are required for this role?
Candidates should have a good understanding of basic networks (UDP/TCP/IP), IPv4, switching, and routing.
What firewall technologies should I be familiar with?
Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, PFSense, and Juniper, including installation, configuration, and maintenance, is required. An understanding of VPNs is also necessary.
Will I receive support from more experienced team members?
Yes, you will be supported directly by a senior team leader with extensive experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
What virtual machine technologies should I know?
Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V, particularly in building, setting up, and deploying VM environments, is required for this role.
Is experience with Linux important for this job?
Yes, candidates must have skills in Linux administration, including building, configuring, and maintaining Linux systems.
Are there any preferred competencies for this position?
Yes, an understanding of 5G and telecommunications backgrounds, as well as satellite communications networks, is desired. Familiarity with NMS tools like Zabbix and Grafana is also beneficial.
