The Occupational Therapist is responsible for patient care, coordination of service delivery, education, professional/program development, and quality assurance duties, primarily focusing on our acute care population within an interdisciplinary team setting.
What educational qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited university program in Occupational Therapy, with a minimum B.Sc (OT) or equivalent. They must also hold a license to practice with the College of Occupational Therapists and be a member in good standing.
Is there a certification requirement for this job?
Yes, the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) certification is required or candidates must be willing to complete it within six months of employment.
What experience is essential for this role?
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience working with geriatric, medical, orthopedic, cardio-respiratory, and neurology adult patients.
