Do I need to be a native speaker to teach Italian at Babbel Live?
If you are not a native speaker, you need to have an official C2 CEFR certificate in Italian to teach the language.
Can I create my own teaching schedule?
Yes! You can decide what time, which days, and how regularly you want to teach online.
What kind of teaching materials will I be using?
You will be provided with complete teaching materials created by Babbel Live's in-house Curriculum Management Team, ready to use for each class.
What types of classes will I be teaching?
You will teach three types of classes: Group Lessons (up to 6 learners), Private Classes (one-on-one sessions), and Placement Classes (to assess new students).
What technology requirements are there for this role?
You need a high-speed internet connection, a headset with a microphone, and a laptop/desktop with a camera.
Is there support available for teachers regarding technical issues?
Yes, the Online Teaching Team will help you with any technical requests including setting up your Zoom account and troubleshooting.
What kind of teaching experience do I need?
You need to have teaching experience as a second language teacher. Online experience teaching groups is a plus.
How can I earn more as a Babbel Live Teacher?
You will start with a transparent base rate, which can be scaled up according to your performance.
Will I receive training and support to develop my teaching skills?
Yes, you will receive training, 1:1 feedback, workshops, and access to training materials to enhance your professional skills.
Why is submitting a video application required?
We want to evaluate your communication skills on camera, which is especially important for online teaching.
