Responsibilities

  • The Operational Manager will operationally manage the provision of mental health services across a locality within Adult Mental Health on a day-to-day basis.

  • The Operational Manager will lead the care unit’s clinical quality and governance agenda’s taking responsibility for the monitoring and maintenance of professional standards and clinical care within there are of responsibility.
  • The Operational Manager will work collegially to ensure full support to the Head of Nursing, Associate Director of Nursing, Associate Director of Operations and Clinical Director’s ensuring that services are safe, well led and of a high quality.
  • This role has the responsibility for facilitating development arising from the integrated business commissioning, the 5 year Forward Mental Health View and the NHS Mental Health Implementation Plan in line with local and national targets and in partnership with commissioners, Local Authorities and other stake holders.
