What is the primary focus of the Parenting Practitioner role?
The primary focus of the Parenting Practitioner role is to deliver effective early intervention parenting support to improve outcomes for children and families, especially those who are vulnerable to poorer outcomes.
What types of programs will I be delivering in this position?
You will be delivering a range of evidence-based parenting programs, including the Invest in Play program and one-to-one interventions in Parent Support Clinics.
Who will I be collaborating with in this role?
You will be coordinating with the Parenting Team Leader, overseeing referrals, and liaising and consulting with multi-agency professionals within the integrated 0-19 teams and specialist social care and education services.
What opportunities for professional development are available in this position?
There is an opportunity to join the exciting Invest In Play Programme, as the Stockport parenting team has become the first level 4 fidelity facilitators of this international initiative.
