Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master / Diploma degree in a biological science or comparable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of patent law experience, with particular experience in IP contract work.
  • Qualified or in process to be qualified as European Patent Attorney.
  • Self-motivated, attentive to details and possessing keen time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Agile adopter of digital tools and technologies.
  • Fluency in English required, fluency in German advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our Patents Life Science team you will interact with our business development, licensing, R&D, legal and patent teams worldwide.
  • A key component will be supporting our IP transactional activities, as well as advising on IP matters identifying opportunities, risks and solutions in support of the company’s business objectives.
  • This role requires a strong business orientation and solid understanding of biotechnology.
  • You will also play an active role in managing our company’s IP portfolio through drafting, filing, prosecuting and defending patent applications and patents.
  • Some travel (domestic and/or international) may be required.
