Requirements

  • - Experienced Payroll professional with extensive knowledge and experience of managing multiple payrolls
  • - Solid understanding of the relevance and impact of pensions, employee benefits, tax, legislation and statutory obligations to a Payroll department
  • - IT proficiency, including advanced knowledge of Excel, with an expert ability to use this programme to run reports, review data, manipulate spreadsheets and conduct close analysis
  • - Experience supervising and mentoring a junior team member within a Payroll, Finance or HR function
  • - Ideally, Payroll experience in-house rather than as part of a bureau or outsource service
  • - Within commuting distance of our office in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire and willing to attend site full-time until fully trained in the role (approximately 12 weeks)

Responsibilities

  • - Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all company payrolls under the Simplify group banner, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and day-to-day management of a Payroll Administrator.
  • - Act as the main contact within the Payroll team, possessing strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all internal & external stakeholders.
  • - Play a key part in the day-to-day management of various Group benefits including pension schemes.
  • - Provide advice and support to the Head of People Services & Reward and the CPO on various initiatives & projects.
  • - Supervise and mentor a junior team member.
