Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR team, providing first level advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues, and a knowledge of actions that require a payroll related change.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work collaboratively, establishing credibility and effective relationships with peers and colleagues.
  • To demonstrate excellent customer service ensuring the needs of internal and external customers are met and our services and contact with customers are delivered positively
  • Ability to approach issues with a proactive, forward-thinking approach, applying innovation that can be reflected to our customer and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions and streamline and improve operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • The role of the People Services Adviser is to support the delivery of the People Operations Team. Reporting into the Senior People Partner, you will support a range of People Activities – for example - processing payroll, changes to terms and conditions and work patterns, dealing with People related queries as well as having responsibility for advising on sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance cases.
  • The People Services Adviser will play a leading role in providing high quality, tailored advice on People matters to colleagues across the GMC.
  • Leading on the delivery of Payroll processing for the People Team
  • Partnering with leaders and managers across the GMC on a range of People matters
  • Responding to complex People queries
  • Managing a varied Employee relations caseload
