Requirements

  • CTA or ACA qualified with several years of experience in personal tax.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and providing tailored tax planning advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, including self-assessment tax returns, partnership tax returns, and trust tax returns.
  • Providing tailored tax planning advice to clients, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning.
  • Preparing and reviewing Forms P11D and working alongside our specialist Employment Tax team in the provision of employment benefits advice
  • Managing client relationships and providing excellent client service.
  • Liaising with HMRC and resolving any tax queries or issues.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicating these changes to clients.
