Responsibilities

  • Our Nuclear Technology team provide technical analysis services to the current and next generation of nuclear reactors, fusion reactors, and the wider energy industry. • We are looking for PhD Graduates with a keen interest in the nuclear fission, fusion and the wider energy industry to join our team as we grow to meet the future energy industry demands. We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed and applied analytical techniques, simulation tools and cutting-edge data science practices to understand physical phenomena directly relevant to the nuclear industry as part of their research.
  • Joining our team as a Nuclear Technology Analyst you will be well supported in:
  • Developing skills to communicate with our customers, understand their requirements, and produce plans to deliver their desired outcomes.
  • Applying and expanding your analysis, simulation and data science skills and technical knowledge to understand the performance of real engineering systems.
  • Communicating complex concepts and results to our customers in a way that can be readily understood.
  • Frazer-Nash empowers its staff to manage the delivery of the project themselves at an early stage in their careers. Therefore, as your career progresses, you will also get the opportunity to:
  • Develop skills in management of all aspects of technical projects, including client communication, project delivery and managing other project staff.
  • Understand how we develop new business by responding to enquiries and writing bids, and also representing Frazer-Nash at client meetings, conferences and seminars.

  • Technical disciplines applied in the team include neutronics and core physics, data science, statistical analysis, materials science, thermal modelling, fluids mechanics, support to structural assessment and safety case authoring. However, we are always looking to strengthen and diversify our capabilities and you will have the opportunity to help shape our future skills and services.
