Responsibilities

  • Consults with leaders to understand staffing requirements of the facility
  • Works with Director of Provider Recruitment to develop and implement budget, marketing strategies, general recruitment policies and strategic initiatives for optimal recruitment efficiency
  • Builds culture of positive relationships between recruitment and hiring managers
  • Assists recruiters with issues involving manager relationships and staffing
  • Establishes and maintains proactive relationships with management staff, department heads and WMG senior leadership
  • Maintains a presence at sites to assure that leaders feel support and service from the Provider Recruitment team
  • Functions as a liaison between Recruiter and Director of Provider Recruitment regarding staffing strategy, issues and facility needs
  • Analyzes metric data to identify trends in recruitment data specific to site vacancy and turnover rates
  • Assures appropriate data is maintained for recruitment activities
  • Develops and implements physician candidate sourcing plan
  • Oversees candidate sourcing, database management and follow-up
  • Oversight of daily operations of recruitment activities
  • Serves as a check and balance for all recruitment related projects and priorities in relation to department staffing
  • Directs the way communication, in regards to recruitment, is delivered to departments
  • Mentors, leads and motivates direct reports through the setting of realistic stretch performance and development goals
  • Ensures goals and objectives are aligned with the overall strategic objective of the recruitment team, WMG and the System
  • Provides performance feedback and conducts evaluations
  • Source, identify and contact targeted physicians and advanced practitioners through internet, journal advertising, job fairs, specialty conferences, direct mail, networking and database searches
  • Responsible for maintaining job postings on internet sites for designated specialties and/or associations
  • Acts as a liaison with candidate and practice regarding contractual, credentialing and provider orientation
  • Maintains database of all candidate information
  • Attends job fairs and conferences to secure contacts for recruitment needs
  • Assures job postings are maintained using EEOC standards
  • Assures candidates are screened based on job requirements
  • Assures required education, license, certification are provided and documented
  • Assists recruiters with interpretation and implementation of HR policies related to staffing
  • Interprets policies and procedures, EEO and fair employment practices
  • Provides education to Recruiters and other staff regarding recruitment and employment topics
  • Participates in job fairs, conferences and other recruitment events to represent WellStar in a positive and professional manner
  • Participates in committees and work groups as assigned
