What team will I be working with?
You will be part of the Common Hardware Group (CHG), which delivers silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco's core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products.
What are the main responsibilities of the Silicon Validation and Application Engineer?
Key responsibilities include ASIC Bringup, test plan development, post-silicon validation, understanding microarchitecture and design details, triaging and debugging issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure proper configuration and performance of the ASIC.
What are the minimum qualifications needed for this role?
The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 8+ years of ASIC design experience, along with a deep understanding of digital design, systems, microarchitecture, System Verilog programming, and networking protocols.
Are there preferred qualifications for this position?
Yes, preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 10+ years of ASIC design experience, strong C/C++ skills, and excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
