Responsibilities

  • To own and be accountable for delivering the design of ground station satellite tracking solutions and/or associated supporting sub-systems to achieve overall delivery of the mission system intent.
  • Oversee a small team of engineers producing detailed specifications, overseeing the creation of high-quality designs documentation and other technical deliverables through the lifecycle.
  • Derivation of RF System, Sub-System, and component level performance specifications through participating in requirements management, justification, and decomposition for the system.
  • To ensure the managing engineering change to systems, providing the relevant traceability back to the requirements, managing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions for the overall system.
  • Leading technical interactions with suppliers in conjunction with Supply Chain.
  • Contributing to technical interactions with the customer.
  • Leading the development, building, test and trialling of solutions through participating in Validation, Verification, Test and Acceptance activities.
  • Supporting Operational Engineering teams with in-service systems, troubleshooting technical faults and problem management.
  • Working with Project Management Teams to ensure projects, are delivered in a timely and efficient way to meet internal and Customer needs.
  • To be the source of technical expertise in RF antenna systems and associated equipment, including radiation hazards.
