Responsibilities

  • Own and manage Mixpanel’s SaaS procurement partner relationship for all SaaS purchases and renewals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal teams such as FP&A, Security, IT and Legal on purchasing processes and improvements.
  • Build strategic relationships with key vendors and technology partners in order to leverage strategic discounts and maximize value.
  • Assist with business case reviews to ensure new spend is justified.
  • Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs and ensure spend comes in below/at budget.
  • Track and forecast levels of spend for SaaS products as well as services.
  • Liaise with key company employees to determine their purchasing needs.
  • Monitor company spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement related costs.
  • Undertake value-for-money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements.
  • Work closely with the Legal team to negotiate and streamline contracts.
  • When needed, conduct research to source the best products and vendors in terms of value and quality, conduct compliance checks, financial background checks for vendors.
  • Lead initiatives to implement procurement process improvements.
  • Provide basic procurement process training for Mixpanel employees that are involved with procurement of products and services.
  • Assist with SaaS tool rationalization and optimization.
