Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Metallurgy (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring production targets are achieved and the plant is operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Achieving operating budgets by assisting in maintaining the lowest cost of production
  • Contributing new operating and business development philosophies to ensure they are attuned with the operating demands
  • Monitoring the systems, business processes and harnessing opportunities for improvement to increase production
  • Assisting Line Managers with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects
  • Developing continuous improvement targets for the function and drive, and measure achievement of these targets
