Together they’re helping people change their stories. You could join our client as a Project Manager delivering their reading for enjoyment programme with primary schools and other settings. What you’ll be doing Reading for enjoyment is key to improving reading and writing skills. Our client’s programme brings the joy of reading to young people living in deprived areas as they support these children to develop their love of books and reading identity, through a series of fun events focused on book choice and reading for enjoyment. You will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, including recruitment of schools, content development, training, safeguarding, risk management, event management, volunteer management and quality assurance. As part of a team of five, you will also be involved with the delivery of other programmes and activities for young readers. As part of this, you will work closely with the wider School Programmes team, as well as external contacts including corporate stakeholders, and schools, community organisations and local and national media. This role is based in London but with flexibility to work from home for the majority of the time. However, you will need to be able to be in London for team and staff days, which could be an average of once a month, as well as travelling for in-person project delivery and training when necessary.
