Requirements

Educated to degree or post graduate level in a public health or a related discipline.
Prepared to undertake a structured educational development programme alongside delivery of public health programmes and projects.
Able to undertake placements and projects to gain a broad understanding across the three domains of public health.
Committed to complete all elements of the training programme, including undertaking projects, placements, full attendance at structured educational programme and completion of a portfolio towards professional practitioner registration with UKPHR.
Carrying lived experience of health inequalities or have strong links with communities experiencing health inequalities across the local geographic area.
An excellent communicator with the skills to:
Gather and analyse information
Identify and prioritise risks
Identify and prioritise safeguarding issues
Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and flexibility
Demonstrate excellent IT and typing skills
Demonstrate excellent team work skills.

Responsibilities

1 day a week of protected study time for the duration of the contract to support your learning and development and preparation for registration.
Support to undertake a structured development programme as part of this role. This will help to build on your existing knowledge through further training as well as educate you to broaden your knowledge, understanding and application across all domains of Public Health: Health Improvement, Health Protection and Healthcare public Health.
Opportunity to undertake placements and projects to gain a broad understanding across all domains of Public Health.
