Responsibilities

  • Directs the planning, strategic goals, and objectives of the Quality Control department.
  • Performs full range of managerial duties for employees supervised including coaching/counseling, hiring, terminating, and employee development.
  • Ensures that all syrups, ingredients, and product testing are preferred according to Pepsi-Cola North America guidelines.
  • Maintains current knowledge of regulatory issues.
  • Maintains accurate records, documentation reviews.
  • Facilitates department training for new hires.
  • Leads the plant’s Food Safety Team and is the local resource for all regulatory and third party audits and oversees the implementation and management of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
  • 25% of day spent in staff meetings, 30% of day will be spent on production floor, remaining will be reviewing documents for compliance.
