Responsibilities

  • Development of mechanical auxiliaries for new products:
  • Development of gearbox and its arrangement concepts, couplings and it’s arrangements, rotor turning devices and it’s arrangements
  • Lube oil systems, Control & trip oil systems, Gland/Leak steam systems, Drain systems, condenser, condensate and evacuation and other mechanical systems. Taking care of the different deliverables e.g. PID’s, technical data, system description, specifications, quality plan, technical guidelines, tender calculations etc.
  • Develop new R&D concepts and schemes based on new ‘design to cost’ ideas, study and compare competitor’s design, prepare R&D drawings & documents, system houses, ensure correctness of documentation in line with guidelines and customer specifications, interface with customers / consultants for technical discussions & approvals, report progress (including risks) and key issues to superiors in order to meet R&D project schedules / milestones.
  • Planning and Review: Plan and review mechanical auxiliaries’ activities, Interfacing with R&D global experts, other engineering groups and collaborators/cooperation partners and Interface with customer / consultant in order to ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Project Management Support: Provide R&D support to PM on technical issues and Support in cost control in order to meet the contract requirements and keep project within cost.
  • Supply Management Support: Interact with vendors and supply chain personnel for freezing the specifications and technical requirements (pre order and post order) to meet the customer / contract requirements
  • Quality Management: Establish process/equipment documentation including specification for performance testing, work instructions and inspection and test requirements to ensure implementation of Quality requirements of the process/equipment
  • Cost Reduction: Standardize the specifications and purchase requirements / engineering of equipment’s / activities to achieve reduction in engineering hours and/or better costs.
