Requirements

  • Ideally possess 2-4 years of experience in Civil Engineering design or plan review, specifically for railroad projects, or hold a degree in Civil or Railroad Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Basic knowledge of MicroStation, Inroads, and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to engineers, clients, and public stakeholders.
  • Enjoy establishing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a passion for problem-solving and a willingness to acquire new technical skills.
  • Open to occasional out-of-town travel, ranging from 2-6 times per year, as necessary to meet project demands.

Responsibilities

  • You will work on behalf of Railroad Clients to protect their ROW and operations and to assist in helping to deliver successful projects
  • You will work on challenging projects where you will assist agencies in getting approved projects by providing constructive comments
  • You will meet project deadlines on schedule and within budget
  • You will primarily review design plans and work closely with Project Managers and Design Engineers
  • You will also complete project design plans and work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers
  • You will integrate data and perform fundamental analysis of project elements
  • You will design and draft elements and details
