Responsibilities

  • The Peer Trainer will act as a role model of recovery within the RCE Wellbeing Hub and be able to share their own lived experience with the students in an appropriate way.
  • Reporting directly to the Wellbeing Hub Deputy Manager, the Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of high quality co-produced courses.
  • The Trainer will support the administrative processes of the college such as database entry, taking and receiving telephone calls from students and welcoming students into the college hub.
  • Through sharing the wisdom from own lived experience, inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. Within a relationship of mutuality, facilitate and support information sharing to promote choice, self-determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valued roles and connection to local communities.
  • The Trainer will promote their role, through the provision of information and a range of learning opportunities for the multi-disciplinary team and others across the Trust. Trainers may also be required to deliver training to internal and external partners.
