  • Familiarity with NBS Specification application NBS Chorus
  • Familiarity of design applications such as Rhinoceros, V-Ray, 3DS Max, Enscape, Twinmotion, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, etc.
  • Visual programming (Grasshopper/Dynamo) and/or object-oriented programming experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with Performance Design applications such as Climate Studio, OneClick LCA, Fenestra Pro, Ladybug Tools etc.

Responsibilities

  • Strategise and lead Architecture, Interiors & Landscape teams in the implementation, management and execution of BIM/digital modeling pipeline on projects throughout all phases of the design process in compliance with BIM Level 2 requirements
  • Implement and stay up to date with British & industry Standards (ISO 19650, PAS1192, CIC BIM Protocols, etc.)
  • Development, maintenance and compliance of approved BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Project Implementation Plans (PIP) and other project related model documentation/scope of work derived from the Gensler standards framework relative to ISO 19650
  • Guidance in the production of IFC and COBie data output
  • Information Management including management of Common Data Environment (CDE) procedures
  • Partner with Regional Design Technology Leaders to monitor and report on model metrics and other analytical data throughout the life of projects.
  • Identify and resolve opportunities around model-management to optimize performance and user-experience.
  • Establish, communicate, and interpret changes in best practices, protocols, and other related matters.
  • Oversight of project related model documentation/scope of work
  • Recognize the degree and complexity of a project and develop the right design technology strategy to optimize project performance as well as support and integrated a lean project delivery framework.
  • Author / Develop design solutions to address project needs through the use of various tools, scripting and workflows.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication, transparency, and involvement throughout the duration of a project.
  • Respond to general design technology support requests at the studio and project level.
  • Identify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projects.
  • Research and develop on a continuous basis, innovative methods based on extensive experience and an understanding of current trends / techniques related to design technology.
