Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key point of contact for employees to connect with the human resources department, while promoting Eaton values and providing courteous and timely service to all employees
  • Provides interim HR leadership support to NA GEIS manufacturing plants in the event of a vacancy
  • Assists in the preparation of contract negotiations with the Local Unions. Administers the grievance and disciplinary process, interprets contract language and advises on day-to-day matters related to wages, benefits and working conditions to maintain a consistent, fair and equitable treatment of employees and competitive stature in the marketplace.
  • Leads various employee relations activities such as management coaching, conducting investigations, and supporting the performance management process
  • Leads hourly and salaried talent acquisition and management activities for the represented facilities, while placing an emphasis on meeting the divisions’ diversity representation objectives
  • Build organizational capability by supporting the Eaton talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives in areas such as succession planning, organizational capability reviews, leadership development training, and performance management
  • Coach and influence leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs follow local and governmental regulatory requirements and are driving an engaged culture
  • Serves as local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, coordinating with remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and coordinates benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes
  • Generates and analyzes regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes
  • Facilitates and participates in company-wide committees in support of the overall Eaton goals, such as wellness, community involvement, and inclusion & diversity initiatives
  • Partners with HR Services to complete wage assessment and develop market adjustment proposal
  • Facilitates the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations
  • Prepares and distributes HR related communications
