What is the duration of this assignment?
This is a temporary full-time assignment of up to approximately twelve (12) months.
Is this position suitable for new graduates?
While experienced candidates may be preferred, applicants who are in their final year or near completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) will also be considered.
What certifications are mandatory for this role?
A current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are mandatory, with the condition that the ACLS course must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
What kind of training will be provided?
Extensive hospital and emergency department orientation will be provided, along with a dedicated preceptorship program and ongoing training to stay updated on the latest medical advancements and emergency protocols.
What is the primary focus of the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Hospital?
The Emergency Department is dedicated to delivering family-centered emergency care to the community, operating on a modified Primary Nursing model.
